Analogue Cameras are the original CCTV system. With technology improving rapidly, replacement parts are becoming hard to find. We are instead recommending an upgrade to a special range of IP cameras, up to 3MP, specially designed to work with the old wiring specifications of analogue systems. If, however, your property is easy enough to re-wire, this should be your first choice – this will allow you to utilize all the options available in the IP range above.
IP Cameras are the latest in CCTV technology. They are hooked into an installations network via Cat6 / fibre cable or wirelessly. These systems feature some of the highest quality images on the market today, typically ranging from 4-8MP. Other features also include license plate recognition technology, low cost PTZ cameras, thermal imaging cameras & line crossing to name a few.
NVR’s are the brains of the operation, this is where the captured videos or images are stored for processing. Generally speaking a typical system is set up for 30-60 days storage, but can have more if needed.
